thank you for having a brain and not trading marner 4 games into the season, like certain other "fans"

One secondary assist and no goals on 13 shots in four games for Mitch Marner. Not a crisis but expected a better start. The countdown is on.

Wow, I don’t know what the Leafs did in free agency this summer…??

I guess Bunting looks like a bit of a steal but he has no history saying he can keep this up.

I guess Kase has somewhat of a track record but he can’t stay healthy.

Simmons looked washed last season. Engvall is NHL depth at best. Ritchie isn’t a top 6. Although he does bring some size and toughness the Leafs needed in the lineup. He’s just not a top 6 forward. David Kampf, 3C..ouch. And who the F**k is Michael Amadio.??

Kerfoot, meh.

I guess it’s good to see Sandin playing well; and Liljegren. And I like the Mrazek signing. Campbell/Mrazek tandem looks good.

Hopefully Alex Steeves brings something. I liked that NCAA free agent signing.

Leafs need Nic Robertson, Soup, and even joey Anderson to take an NHL roster spot this season and produce. Those bottom 2 lines look awful.

Considering Marner isn't looking that great to start the season, I think he needs Matthews to snap out of it.

Marner and Ritchie had 3 games with Tavares already, let them play with Matthews for a few games to see if that trio is going to work.

That’s not the first time I’ve seen someone say that and it’s really concerning if both Tavares and Marner can’t elevate one another. I’m not worried about Ritchie, he can be moved around the lineup. Marner’s issues from the playoffs have seemed to trickled into the start of the season. Granted he probably gets a point last night if Igor doesn’t play out his mind and Matthews pots one. But I haven’t liked Mitch’s game to start the year. There is too much cap tied to Tavares and Marner for them not to produce. They both need to be much much better

The good thing though, is if he can get over this hurdle (surely to God he can) maybe he starts treating every game like it's a playoff game.

I don't mind the Leafs having to win the hard way or win ugly all year if it gets them (and specifically Marner) more prepared for playoff hockey.

If 80% of games this season is a 5-1 win, and it comes pretty easy, that seems to be where they struggle to turn it up a notch when the games get real.

Totally agree, I don't give a rats ass about the regular season stats, do it in the playoffs.

You guys and other fans are happy with the bottom 6 and Ritchie playing top 6.??

Line-up looks very top heavy to me. And not much NHL level depth.
