That Carolina trade... I don't even know where to start.

Also, did you actually look at Seabrook's contract?

Ya it's a bad contract but Seabrook is still a top pairing defenceman who can help coach Reilly along. By the time it becomes a problem the Leafs should be able to add him to Robidas island. Sometimes experience is worth a little trouble.

What's wrong with the Carolina trade? What they are giving up or the return?

So everyone that is old we'll just bury on LTIR, that's the foolproof plan going forward? What if he, you know, actually stays healthy??? Seabrook contract would destroy our team when we had to resign M & M.

Carolina trade. You don't a legit Top 4 22 yo RD (the most valuable asset in the league right now) for table scraps! Marchenko = 0 value. Carrick/Leipsic have very little value, and a 3rd.

How does any of that help Carolina going forward?? Replace Pesce with a worse RD, for Leipsic who isn't even a guarantee to be in the NHL, and a 3rd. They would get 28 better offers than that if they considered moving him.
