Asset protection is the rumor. Clearly Strome is a top 6 forward on the Hawks only behind Kane, Toews, Cat, Dach and Kubalik which is where the problem lies. He's pure offense and a center which relegates him to a top 6 role in the Hawks system but Toews and Dach bring a more complete game to the table.

Not saying I agree with the Hawks system approach because I don't but it is what it is.

Chris Tierney is decent and could be part of the cultural change in Chicago. They could sign him to a decent contract. A 2nd is always a good piece if you know how to draft. If you suck at it, trade it for a prospect/player.
