Coyotes probably decline. They already dealt him once and seem to like Timmins.

I would rather PO-J, even though a young RHD would be nice.

But PO-J is much better both ways. Timmons probably better offensively. But PO-j, although very good offensively too(plays the point on the top PP in AHL for WBS Pens), is better defensively than Timmons. Especially, since he added 15 pounds of muscle. PO-J also plays on the top PK unit in AHL. Plays 25 plus minutes a night.

We’ll see how each of them do in a full NHL season. So far both have limited games in the NHL.

ya they've been very limited in nhl time but i feel like poj has "fallen out of favor" with the front office especially

I don’t think so. Nothing but rave reviews I’ve seen. U just can’t scratch a LHD making 4M plus. Especially when they are trying to trade one.

PO-J is playing 25 plus minutes a night in the AHL. Plays both PP and PK.

I think moving Matheson and his contract should be priority #1 for Hextall and Burke.

Cause again, Pens have their top prospect, PO-J(top 100 prospect in the whole NHL on any list out there; usually around 60-75 ranked). Who is nhl ready and with NHL experience; on his rookie contract. And you shouldn’t be paying 3 LHD 4M plus(Dumoulin, Pettersson, Matheson).

And PO-J could slide right into that 3rd pairing LHD and probably play it better. And again, on a rookie contract.

i agree that hes ready and he'll definitely see time this year when injuries plague this team. at the beginning of the season hextall wasn't very ecstatic about what he saw. he's still young but if he shows little improvement from now until next offszn i don't think they'll be hesitant to deal him

Everything I saw and read said Hextall/Burke and Sullivan all said the only reason PO-J isn’t a staple on the NHL team is because he is blocked. But either way, I’d rather PO-J than Timmons.

The Penguins counter with Petterson and a prospect for Kessel and a draft pick.
