I think VGK is ready to give up krebs now since he has no points through 8 games

Not sure if he really has the same value he would've if VGK just traded him durring the offseason. VGK might have to give up Morozov as a result of them thinking Krebs was really worth holding onto for a elite 1C

Hot take VGK can't recover from all the injuries and barely slide into the playoffs or miss altogether but if they make this trade, they'll go from missing the playoffs in 22 to cup champs in 23

I would swap out the goalie, we have plenty of goalie prospects. Add a forward.

Canes definitely consider that trade, but Canes would need to have retention to make the cap work. A team like Arizona might take on the retention. I could see the trade going like this:
To Arizona: 2024 3rd round pick (CAR)
To Vegas: 2023 2nd round pick (CAR)
To Carolina: Jonathan Marchessault (50% retained by Arizona)

Canes likely won't be able to resign Nino so Marchessault would be an awesome replacement to acquire.
