2017/18 Avs

Created by: ahanzlik
Team: 2017-18 Colorado Avalanche
Initial Creation Date: Mar. 16, 2017
Published: Mar. 16, 2017
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
The Avs can use Carolina's 2017 1st Round Pick to draft Liljegren. A number of the mock drafts I have looked at have him falling low enough to where they could get him. Trading for Drouin provides the Avs with a new "Core"
Mackinnon, Drouin, Rantanen, Landeskog, Jost, Patrick, Hanifin, Bigras, Zadorov and Liljegren. Tyson Barrie does not fit on this team with the system that Bednar wants to run. He needs to play for a team that allows him to focus on offense not defense.

Would be amazing, but there's no way Carolina does that trade

Nice idea. Alzner wont sign for that price he might only sign with the rebuilding Avs at 6 million which is an overpayment. Also perhaps an overpay on Gagner. Also dont get why Vegas would give two draft picks for Colborne, not really any sense there. But damn McKinnon and Drouin together again would be scary

lol that Gagner contract is awful... You would regret that in a heartbeat. He's a 4th liner that plays on the PP1. Like a poor man's Schenn.

Right now Carolina would be drafting at #9 with Vegas #10 i don't see Liljegren falling that far, If Liljegren is available when Detroit drafts and that's probably top 6 doubt that Liljegren get's past them.

So Tampa gives up Garrison+Drouin+2018 4th round pick for Barrie+2018 1st round pick considering that Colorado will probably be just as bad next year as this year. Don't see Colorado moving next years 1st Drouin alone has more value then Barrie. Doubt either Tampa or Colorado does this.
