Buying out Bieksa literally does nothing for the Ducks. Only reason to do it is if it he doesnt waive his NMC. Also, if you're trading Vat for Gudas why are you giving away Theo and a 1st? This literally makes 0 sense. Theo is exempt from Vegas. Bonino is not signing for 2.5 mil. Clayton doubtfully will be on LTIR next year. This is just incredibly bad.

What on earth possessed you to trade Theodore?!? Then you trade Vatanen for a thug? Lol. Gudas cap hit hurts us on trying to resign fowler, we are better off trading Vatanen for a forward instead. I can't give you a half star unfortunately.

Bieksa is the worst d-man in the NHL and i thought he would be better this season with the coaching change he's even worse than last season the guy doesn't have it anymore he needs to retire or buy him out.

Dude idk what you have against the Flyers but Gudas is far from a thug. He has completely changed how he plays the game now and is a solid defender at a great cap hit. Now the Flyers would definitely do that because we could use Vatanen on the PP1 or PP2 but I don't see how Gudas cap hit hurts resigning Fowler when whatever forward you get for trading Vatanen is going to cost more than Gudas and is 3 mil ... The Theodore trade is bad though so I am not going to rate this but I understand the Gudas move. However, Vatanen is better than Fowler (IMO) and you guys should be looking to move him and pocket that huge return he'd bring. Oh and don't buyout Beiksa

Gudas is great. He is definitely a top-4 guy on any team - at least I would think. Even on ANA. The Ducks would be lethal with:

Lindholm - Vatanen
Theodore - Gudas
Larsson - Montour

Ducks would lose Vatanen (protect 4, 47 & 42) if u don't offer Vegas something.

It's Gudas plus gets you Vatanen....Gudas has improved but his skating will always be a weakness and only decline with age.
You don't add a pick, certainly not 1 to Vegas on top of giving them your top d prospect. If you offered up Theodore Vegas would take whoever you wanted in the expansion draft and be dancing.

Gudas skates just fine. Do half you guys watch these players play or do you just go off what you here at intermissions? lol. He's only 26 so if you are worried about players declining with age you might as well trade Getzlaf, Perry, kesler, Vatanen, Cogs, and Silfverberg since they are all the same age as Gudas or older. Te Vegas trade is bad, the PHI trade is uneven and definitely an overpayment but all the trash talk on Gudas is just wrong. He is not a goon and he is not slow. He is severely underrated. If tampa could take back that trade they would in a heartbeat. He was a throw in on the Coburn trade.

I wonder if we're watching the same player....Gudas the one suspended six games for an illegal hit...Another three previously...Another half dozen questionable hits in the last couple years....Is this the one you're talking about?

Either way Ducks will lose a d-man unless they go 4-4-1 route and lose Silfverberg.

Now that's the Gudas I know. Cheap shots players and has tons of questionable hits. We need good skating D-men in this league. That is why Bieksa is such garbage and the fact he turns the puck over constantly.

I would put Montour ahead of Gudas in a heartbeat. His skating ability and the ability to move the puck is outstanding.

You're bias to your own team, and I don't blame you for that but Gudas is a thug, his prior suspension prove it and I would rather not risk losing a d-man every game to a suspension for a questionable hit.

What you see in Gudas is something we don't want though. That is why we would keep Manson, plus having Fowler, Lindholm, Montour that would be our top 4. Paying a 3rd pair guy $3.350 isn't bad but we could do better than him.

Fowler isn't going anywhere, I get it you watch a lot of Ducks' games but BM won't trade him, he has had the best year of his career and has an upside still.

At the end of the day none of the trades makes the team better. Better off keeping Bieksa knowing his $4mil comes off the books the same time we need to sign Fowler.
