Gudas skates just fine. Do half you guys watch these players play or do you just go off what you here at intermissions? lol. He's only 26 so if you are worried about players declining with age you might as well trade Getzlaf, Perry, kesler, Vatanen, Cogs, and Silfverberg since they are all the same age as Gudas or older. Te Vegas trade is bad, the PHI trade is uneven and definitely an overpayment but all the trash talk on Gudas is just wrong. He is not a goon and he is not slow. He is severely underrated. If tampa could take back that trade they would in a heartbeat. He was a throw in on the Coburn trade.[/quot
I wonder if we're watching the same player....Gudas the one suspended six games for an illegal hit...Another three previously...Another half dozen questionable hits in the last couple years....Is this the one you're talking about?/quote]
Now that's the Gudas I know. Cheap shots players and has tons of questionable hits. We need good skating D-men in this league. That is why Bieksa is such garbage and the fact he turns the puck over constantly.

look up Gudas analytics stats he's a better player then you think.
Gudas is great. He is definitely a top-4 guy on any team - at least I would think. Even on ANA. The Ducks would be lethal with:
Lindholm - Vatanen
Theodore - Gudas
Larsson - Montour
I would put Montour ahead of Gudas in a heartbeat. His skating ability and the ability to move the puck is outstanding.
You're bias to your own team, and I don't blame you for that but Gudas is a thug, his prior suspension prove it and I would rather not risk losing a d-man every game to a suspension for a questionable hit.
What you see in Gudas is something we don't want though. That is why we would keep Manson, plus having Fowler, Lindholm, Montour that would be our top 4. Paying a 3rd pair guy $3.350 isn't bad but we could do better than him.
Fowler isn't going anywhere, I get it you watch a lot of Ducks' games but BM won't trade him, he has had the best year of his career and has an upside still.
At the end of the day none of the trades makes the team better. Better off keeping Bieksa knowing his $4mil comes off the books the same time we need to sign Fowler.
