If they can circumvent the cap and have this roster in the playoffs, it's difficult to believe they won't raise the cup

There is an obvious issue though.

Cap Space.

I see VGK letting Reilly Smith walk after this season.

Even after doing that they would need to do some cap juggling to make this work.

But man, this team is good.

Exactly.

I see them maybe pulling a Tampa this upcoming playoffs, and then after that in the off season, they do stuff like let Reilly Smith go.

Biggest issue, is that the guys presently on IR are injuries that wont last to the deadline.

And because Eichel's treatment was so debated over, the league is aware that his revovery time does not take him to the trade deadline, which means they'll have to move 10mil before the deadline and therefore this deep team, looks less deep.

Do you see them pulling a Tampa?

They can;t because the league already saw the recovery time on Eichel, and its only after the deadline that you can exceed the cap (pull a Tampa).

ESPN had a little blurb not too long ago about how league sources are watching Vegas and Eichel carefully to make sure they cant pull a TAmpa. The ESPN article basically said that 2 5mil salaries will likely have to be moved out (Smith? Dandanov? Theodore?), for no real salary return, but before deadline, which lessens the price they'll get.

The wroter of the article was bassically saying that the price of Eichel was alot more than just the pieces within the trade.

I get that point for sure.

In that case then, I see them moving rental Reilly Smith easily.

I don't know who else they would want to trade though.

Maybe Dadanov as you said, I don't think they would really want to trade Theodore.

Oh most definitely, its just that the great depth you have above will never happen.
