They are 16th in the league in hits with Calgary (17th) and Washington (18th) teams who are apparently tough to play against, below them. 🤦‍♂️

Thats what i try to say, but everyone just laughs

A lot of people dont understand the value of toughness in the playoffs, because it means a lot in terms of setting the tone for games and possibly the difference between winning and losing

if i were GM i wouldve traded for Tkachuk or wilson easy. IMO marner and nylander have to go and be traded for some silid physical guys.

I tried my best with what i could do, JT Miller is the most physical top-6 winger i could think of and he plays with a lot of heart, same goes for manson except for the fact that he plays D

Both guys would play a physical style of hockey, which the leafs have lacked since dubas traded away all the grit on the team

You still need some high end skill to win. If you look at teams with multiple cups in the past decade or so they had a good mixture. I wouldn't trade away Marner and Nylander but just try and find players that could compliment them like Hyman or Brown......

yes but they have only 2 forwards that other teams keep their head up for, Simmonds and Ritchie and neither one of them hit on a consistent bases. I bleed blue but the leafs won't go anywhere again in the playoffs because they don't ware down other teams d-men. The leafs forwards don't make other teams d-men hurry their pass because of physical play so they don't generate the mistakes you need in the playoffs.

They won't get anywhere in the playoffs unless Matthews, Marner, Tavares, and Nylander ALL produce points. Agree to disagree on that one. Toughness has not kept this team from advancing from the 1st round.

    Edit:
If you want someone to just skate around hit and punch people, call up Gabriel and keep the current roster
