Rebuilding with what if game

Created by: justaBoss
Team: 2021-22 Montreal Canadiens
Initial Creation Date: Nov. 18, 2021
Published: Nov. 19, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Just wondering if this team went full on rebuild, how would that look like.

Three first trades are the parts of this "what if" game that did not happen but should have, the rest "could" still happen.
Trades
1.
SEA
  1. Price, Carey
Additional Details:
Well this should've happened right in the start. Kraken selects Price instead of Fleury. Grubauer wouldn't get signed either.
2.
COL
  1. Grubauer, Philipp
Additional Details:
Reckon Grubs would stay in COL after all. No need for COL to acquire Kuemper.
3.
MTL
  1. 2022 1st round pick (MTL)
  2. 2024 2nd round pick (MTL)
ARI
  1. Dvorak, Christian
  2. Kuemper, Darcy
Additional Details:
Kuemper would still be in ARI (or probably dealt to somewhere else). Also, no interest for Dvorak in Montreal in this case.
4.
MTL
  1. 2022 1st round pick (NYI)
NYI
  1. Chiarot, Ben
Additional Details:
I personally don't think his value is this high but there's some rumors that Chiarot might garner a first.
5.
MTL
  1. 2023 1st round pick (CGY)
CGY
  1. Toffoli, Tyler
Additional Details:
Flames don't really have right handed snipers. Toffoli works in this role.
6.
MTL
  1. Cholowski, Dennis
  2. 2022 2nd round pick (WPG)
WSH
  1. Kulak, Brett
  2. 2022 3rd round pick (CAR)
  3. 2022 6th round pick (MTL)
7.
MTL
  1. 2023 2nd round pick (SJS)
SJS
  1. Drouin, Jonathan
Additional Details:
Assuming SJ buys Kane out at the end of the season, there's probably a need for a 2nd line LW. Drouin works imo in this role.
8.
MTL
  1. 2023 3rd round pick (NSH)
9.
CHI
  1. Lehkonen, Artturi
  2. 2022 5th round pick (MTL)
10.
11.
MTL
  1. 2023 4th round pick (CBJ)
CBJ
  1. Byron, Paul ($1,700,000 retained)
  2. Niku, Sami
12.
MTL
  1. 2023 5th round pick (EDM)
13.
MTL
  1. 2023 6th round pick (NYR)
14.
MTL
  1. 2023 7th round pick (CAR)

I don't think Col would want anything with Gru anymore. He has proved he was carried by an elite team and is making too much money with a team thats going to have to sign Mack @9+ soon

Obviously so, but as said in the description Gru would've been signed as an UFA if Price had gone to SEA in the ExD.

lol even Trotz admitted today they are in dire need of more puck movers. It’s why they called up Robin Salo and immediately put him on the 2nd pair
