That won't be the case next year, but this team is gonna need him in a secondary scoring role next year. he's a solid player at a great cap hit.
ARI isn't going pay a 3rd to take on Rask.
Plus VEG needs McNabb. he's been solid on a pretty leaky team and his cap hit is minimal for what he does.

This deal favors Minny quite heavily.

Minny says yes all day.

But, for reasons mentioned above, I think Vegas says no. They need Steph's cap hit and McNabb has been solid.

I also think AZ says no. McNabb is UFA next season. No way he re-signs in AZ. Rask contract is up next year and AZ won't have interest in re-signing. So they are basically giving away a third rounder to take on a couple contracts for the rest of the season. They'd want a top 60 pick and a prospect (at least) in order to make that happen.
