Description
Sad but true, This team just doesn't have the star talent to keep up with teams and clearly the Hextall "rebuild" didn't work as well as we hoped. This is more of an extreme than anything, I more want to highlight the players that should be available and the kinds of returns they could get based on recent trades.

First 4 trades are at TDL then the rest are at draft/offseason

Flyers Draft Juraj Slafkovsky (Big, great shot, plays hard) with their 1st in 2022

Trades
1.
PHI
  1. Denisenko, Grigori
  2. Ludvig, John
  3. 2023 1st round pick (FLA)
Additional Details:
Florida gets a skilled vet to mix in with their talented and fast pasted play. Foligno got a 1st so I would have to imagine Giroux could get more. (I don't know the exact values of the two prospects i've chosen but I like their skill set)
FLA
    Giroux at TDL @ 50%
    2.
    PHI
    1. 2022 2nd round pick (EDM)
    Additional Details:
Good defensive RHD that could be to any playoff team looking to add experience for playoff run
    EDM
      Justin Braun at TDL
      3.
      PHI
      1. Studnicka, Jack [RFA Rights]
      2. 2022 3rd round pick (CGY)
      Additional Details:
I think this is a team that could use a guy like risto for his size. I don't know studnicka's value just know hes's been in and out of the lineup
      BOS
        Risto at TDL @ 50%
        4.
        PHI
        1. 2022 3rd round pick (MIN)
        Additional Details:
Really any team looking for depth, Brassard has been a nice suprise and can play all three positions
        MIN
          Brassard at TDL
          5.
          PHI
          1. Kassian, Zack
          2. McLeod, Ryan [RFA Rights]
          3. 2023 1st round pick (EDM)
          4. 2023 3rd round pick (EDM)
          Additional Details:
          *Conditional 3rd if Oilers make final 4 in 2023 becomes 2023 2nd*

Using the Mantha trade as an example but a little less value because it isn't at TDL. TK would excel with Mcdavid and the high flying offence in Edmonton. Also with team friendly contract which oilers need
          6.
          PHI
          1. Grans, Helge
          2. 2022 2nd round pick (LAK)
          3. 2022 3rd round pick (PIT)
          Additional Details:
fits into young team and could really help a team like this

Foligno got a 1st because of Dubas' stupidity. That trade was probably an exception rather than the rule. Hall was traded for a 2nd rounder

definitely not moving studnicka for risto. maybe beecher or vaak but that's it. risto has size and is decent on the puck but for a guy with his size, aggressiveness and strength he sure needs some help in the dzone he makes a lot of boneheaded decisions

instead of buying out JVR and having 1 year of 4 million hit and a 2nd year of 3 million hit, what would JVR cost the Canes at 50% at the deadline this season? We have some underperforming prospects that you can take a chance on.

Actually funny enough I don't think risto has been awful, not great defensively but has made a nice pair with Sanheim
