That would be hilarious except for the fact that’s he’s not the GM. He’s the president of hockey operations. His job is to find another GM and to train the Sedins to take over in a few years…

It was supposed to be like that in Pittsburgh too and he ended up staying and running everything into the ground over 5 years post back to back run. You might think he’s gonna find another guy but he’ll never relinquish that power because he gets off on it.

He’s the current interim gm. So he will be making the trades for the time being lol

I doubt he’d look at it as helping out his old team. However they call him gentleman Jim for a reason. He’s been known to take less than actual value and overpay to make sure the other gm doesn’t feel screwed.
