Georgiev is going to be worth more than a 4th. But what does he add to DET? They have Ned and Cossa.

I don't think EDM gives up a 1st for that package. They'll use their 1st on a goalie for sure at the deadline. Probably fluery

All Det needs to do is stay steady and follow the Yzerplan. no need for what i see as trades just to make a trade (other than getting rid of Leddy)

The picks are nothing but Minnesota doesn't have the cap for a 3.5 mil backup ! When cam comes back, Kaapo will still be the backup

Your certainly entitled to your opinion. None of these are trades for the sake of it. Cossa is a long way off and we need a backup. Aquiring draft capital for ufa's. Leddy will likely get a 1rst , two seconds or something of that nature with retention at the deadline unless he is injured.

1,800,000 with retention and the wings could take salary back if needed. The wild have over 2 mil. In space and working with a goalie on an emergency loan. Hate to see them loose any ground because of goaltending.

You are right with the Rowney trade though. Possible reclamation project even though we could have had Senyshyn free off of waivers.

I mean wild already lost 5 straight and Kaapo kahkonen whose been good for a while now will be wild g until Talbot comes back! Kaapo will go back to backing cam. For now Andrew h is the backup which sucks but it's what it's. If Minnesota trades for T. Griess, he will just be waived when cam comes back. I believe whatever cap Minnesota has will be used for a c, or 6th d

Maybe they will bury rask. I doubt he would be waived, especially considering Minnesota should be a playoff team. Griess would probably fit in pretty good there, strong German community.

Georgiev is a significantly better starting goaltender than backup. His record and stats are much improved with increased playing time.

It’s my belief that Rangers will get a 2nd & 3rd round pick in exchange for Georgiev. At the very least two 3rds. So the only way that the Rangers trade Georgiev for only a 4th, is if Nemeth is also included in the deal. Though I believe some GM(s) would give a 3rd for Georgiev with Nemeth.

Personally I don’t see the Rangers trading Georgiev until after the season. Probably he’ll get traded around the time of the 2022 draft. Except maybe if a good “backup” goalie (that doesn’t need to be a starter or play close to half the games to be effective) is included in the deal, then I could see Georgiev being traded around this years trade deadline.

Makes sense. I think though for nemeth to be included, unless someone really wants him, you would have to include a 2nd/3rd or similar with Nemeth and Georgiev.

A month or so ago nobody would take him for a third.
