Hertl won’t resign with the state of the team and we can get good value out of moving Barabanov at the TDL. I would like to get more from moving them, but Fiala is an RFA.

So say he signs with another team for $6 mil a year, the compensation would be a 1st and a 3rd. That would make the trade: Hertl and Barabanov for a 1st, Marat K and a 3rd. I think the sharks lose that trade. Of course that’s if he wouldn’t sign with the sharks.

I don’t really see why he wouldn’t. Meier and Fiala are both Swiss and playing with talents like Karlsson is an attractive offer. Sharks also need the depth upfront and I would think DW would make resigning Fiala a top priority.

What about Fiala, Marat K, and a 2022 2nd? Bit more even value wise and I think if people are so so on a trade it’s a good sign the trade is fair.
