Out of curiosity, why are the bruins giving up two of their better prospects, a young roster player, a first, and a second for something you call a cap dump?

Well Clifton sucks and both those “better” prospects aren’t really that great or they’d be playing in Boston consistently instead of getting called up once and month, they aren’t bad but don’t see them being a part of the future, bruins get a number 2 center they desperately need and an upgrade on LD compared to Clifton who once again is terrible

Clifton is a RD and he’s a solid player.

Well if you want to get technical on my wording when you are 10 million over the cap you need to make some cap room so the bruins need a number 2 center and Vegas needs cap space so Karlsson seems like a good trade target Bruins really don’t lose that much considering what it would take to get a 2nd line center

I'm just guessing but I'd say Vegas waits until after this season to make a move like a Karlsson trade. They've never had elite centre depth and I'm sure they want to give it a test run before trading it away. But I do agree it could make some sense if they're demoting him to line 3, and he would make sense as a fit in Boston.
