Description
Depending on how he does in the olympics we should give Mann a chance.

For the Boston trade, Detroit gets a guy that wants to leave Boston and he will get a second chance here. Boston moves up a few spots in the fifth and doesn't lose him for absolutely nothing. (yes ik he's a RFA and Boston could reasonably match anything he is offered but he's demanded a trade earlier so why would they match)

If there is even a chance Getzlaf decides to go to market I think Yzerman should at least give him a call. I think it would be a good idea for Ras to play with him so Getzlaf could mentor him.

For Yandle I just went after a LD that would be cheap and on a short deal for when Edvinsson if ready, is he the idea candidate for Detroit, no but maybe Yzerman can find someone a team wants to move for cheap on draft day.

And YES I did resign DDK \, not because he is a great player but he played his whole career here, let him finish it here.

Veleno might be ready for next year but if he's not we should be alright down the middle. If he is we could move Namesnikov or Suter to give him time.

I didn't go after anyone big like Forsberg or Lindholm because I wanted Detroit to still be within 10 spots of the bottom so we have a chance of Bedard or Michkov.

I like the idea of Edvinsson in the minors to start. Doubt getzlaf leaves Anaheim for Detroit but I would go after him too. Never heard of this goalie, going to have to do research on him.

He's played at U of M last year with Cam Hughes, Owen Power, Matty Benieners, Kent Johnson, Brendan Brisson. Hes playing in the SHL and hes putting up some of the best goalie stats in the league. Hes a taller guy at 6' 3'' but a but light at 170ish. Ive shown interest in him before but I want him to sign here even more with the news he might play for USA which I assume might get him some attention with the rest of the league too, plus hes young at 23.

I think he could be a solid back up to Ned and I had hopes he could be our starter before we got Ned and Cossa. Maybe he could play as our back up for a few years under Ned until Cossa is ready and you are right about Getzlaf he probaly won't leave for detroit but Yzerman should give him a call just incase.
