The only "available" D men St.louis should consider giving up a 1st for is Chychrun or Lindholm. If that's the ask for Gio or Chiarot and our only options, i'm just rolling with what we got and crossing my fingers.

Gio’s underlying numbers are much better this season than Lindholm or Chychrun are. Only reason Chychrun would be a better fit in the long run is term, most of the people on this site overrate him heavily. Lindholm is gonna want too much money on his next deal. Plus the Blues blue line lacks a veterans experience.

The issue is you are giving up a 1st for a 37 year old playoff rental and that's before you consider giving any other asset. I agree, chychrun is super overrated. And Lindholm is too expensive for the blues both in cost to obtain and cap space. I realistically expect Anaheim to keep him with how well they are doing unless they get a solid return. So I understand picking someone up like a veteran LD but gio ain't it at that price. The upside is I can see Seattle making the trade since they are performing how we all expected them too.
