Read this, Giroux goes to Arizona with Philly retaining 50 then Arizona retains 50 of that contract

Philly isn't getting Newhook, Barron, a first and a second for Giroux, even at 75% covered. They wouldn't get Newhook or Barron alone for him. The first is about all they'd get, and maybe a lesser prospect.

I read this and thought that this would be very kind of Colorado -- to give up young prospects like Newhook and Barron, PLUS a first rounder, all for just a 4th rounder. Where do people come up with this hogwash? @kaiser1776 should be institutionalized. Barred from posting anything further at the very least!

Let me explain this better Flyers trade Giroux with 50% retained ($4.1375 million) to Arizona for 2nd round pick back then trades to Colorado with 50 retained ($2.06 million) for a 2024 3rd round (I accidentally hit 4th) Colorado trades RHD Justin Barron, C Alex Newhook, & and a 2023 1st round (top 5 protected) to the Flyers

COLORADO WOULD BE A NIGHTMARE FOR TEAMS IF THEY ADDED GIROUX. HE DOESNT HAVE TO BE THE MAN. UNFORTUNATELY, THEY STILL HAVE GOALIE ISSUES. DO YOU HONESTLY BELIEVE KUEMPER CAN CARRY YOU TO A CUP? COL LOSING NEWHOOK OR/AND BARRON NO LOSS WITH ALL THAT TALENT.

I agree with you, which is why I suggested in another proposal that the Avs chase Fleury. With a capable goalie, they can beat everyone.
