Actually I like the concept of the trade....though I think Oilers should get more. Denault isn't waiving for Edmonton and being the next "Jimmy Carson"

Honestly I don’t make this trade as a kings fan. It hurts their future imo. When Kopitars contract is up all they have is McDavid as C That can actually produce. Can’t always get a danault via FA. Vilardi will most likely be a winger and losing both Turcotte and Byfield depletes the C depth.

Kings are doing just fine without McDavid. This would be a trade that says we want to win this year and maybe next year and that’s still not a very good lineup for the kings.
