Just an opinion: but if AM is US$10MIL per, JT + MM are $9MIL each that's about $4MIL 'new money' to go get, or already have, a good to really good #2 thru #4 D-Man to balance the roster...

I see it this way, goaltending masks all deficiencies. When Campbell is playing like a Vezina trophy winner, the Leafs as a whole look really good. But when he is overworked and tonight when you have two D parings (Sandin/Liljegren Dermott/Biega) that the Marlies could ice, your going to see a poor team.

I see COL and FLA as arguably the two best teams in the NHL and both could be undone by Kuemper and Bobrovsky. No matter how good both teams are built.

I’m with you in the way the Leafs are constructed is not good. Maybe a 1st round exit could be a blessing and breaking up the core. Cause they pandemic changed the plan Dubas had long term and having all this money tied up to 4 players (5 next year) it’s impossible to ice a balanced lineup. Time will tell.

True statement. And impt note you make, a lengthy flat-Cap (re: COVID) was not budgeted by any club!
