Giroux doesnt get a 1st and blue chip prospect. When was the last time a rental got that?

There have been enough over the last 10 years. Iginla, Duchene, Hall, McDonagh, Stastny, E. Staal, Hudler, Shattenkirk. All of these come to mind, there are likely more

Thats my point then, at the time of the trade Pittsburgh still had prospects like Beau Bennett, Derrick Pouliot, and Olli Maatta. Yet Calgary got got Kenny Agostino (recent 5th rounder) and Ben Hanowski (recent 3rd rounder)
