Would you do Hoffman for Zucker straight up?

No
Hoffman can be useful on PP and his cap hit isn’t too bad

They both need a change of scenery. I've seen alot of habs fans say that a Zucker and Hoffman swap is a good idea

I think your offer is fair for Hoffman but bringing in a 30yr old is not what the Habs should be doing if they are in a rebuild. If they can get picks or prospects maybe with a cap relief type contract is what I think would interest them

Kassian making 2 million dollars is still terrible. He wouldn't crack this team's lineup.

Hoffman is a horrible fit on the Pens, makes too much money, and is just a bad 5v5 player.

Getting rid of Zucker to clear cap space for next year is reasonable. Replacing his cap hit with a worse player is a terrible idea.

I disagree. Wait until Hoffman is in an offensive system (Like Hughes wants) and see what he does.

Oilers giggle a bit, dance a little jig, compose themselves, say “I think that’s a fair trade”, and hang up the phone.
