He's been very solid the last couple weeks. He's no 1st line center but he has been playing quite well. Cap is an issue you address in the offseason

Flyers trade is fair, Monahan trade is bad. Yes, it would be nice to shed his cap, but he's been good the past few weeks. Id hold him unless the Flames can get value back (or package him for Giroux, Hertl, etc.)
