i like it, is 1 year worth the 2nd tho? realistically were trying to find a bridge goaltender until Portillo/Levi/UPL are ready

Yes, it’s easy for goalie like Quick, especially since this is not our second, and besides, it’s better to pay a second one than to suffer with goalies again.

A guy who won cups and makes enough to hit cap floor. After the cast of characters who played goal the past 2 years I am willing to spend 1 of our 3 2nds that year to stabilize the position.

Next year is the year to start competing.

Los Angeles declines. Unless you can make us an offer that wows us, Quick will spend his entire career in a Kings uniform, and then it goes in the rafters.

We've gone round and round on this. A 2nd round pick for a 36 year old goalie making 5.8 million while another goalie on the roster is making 5 million is a wow offer. Look what fleury got coming off a vezina win

Yes, we've gone round and round about this and you still don't get it: a second-round pick is NOT a wow offer for a starting goalie in the top half of the NHL, and it has nothing to do with cap hit, because Quick makes $2.5 million next year.
