That's probably about the price although not likely that Vancouver retains at all cause they'll be a high enough market for him that they won't need to

Lmao. I bet Drury jumps all over that deal, especially with 50% retained.

As much as Rangers fans can't stand it, Schneider is 100% NOT untouchable and definitely on the table. Any deal for Miller starts with Schneider and a 1st. Chytil has been highly disappointing since being drafted and doesn't have much value right now so I can't see him being a deal breaker in any deal.

If you want a good player, you have to give up something good in return 🤷🏻‍♂️

You can WISH all you want but any Miller trade ENDS with Schneider. There are other GOOD players they could give for JT, but if its Schneider or nothing, Rangers fans and Drury choose NOTHING. Trade JT elsewhere.

Schneider is blocked long term in New York. Fox and Trouba are the long term top 4 right handed guys (Trouba has a full NMC and only wanted to play the Rangers before so there's no chance he's going anywhere whether you like it or not). So you're wasting Schneider's potential of a #3 or #4 guy by only being able to play him on the bottom pair (currently he doesn't play the left side at all and when he has he hasn't looked good). The best thing to do is to use his high value to acquire something the team needs - ie Miller. It's called organization asset management. It's how you run a business and a team is a business first.

So you can sit there and say you know what Drury's thinking or will do all you want - but the reality is that you don't. And when you look at everything that's right in front of you, it says Schneider is available. It'll likely be a high cost to move him, but he's still not untouchable whether you like it or don't.

Except I watch every Ranger game and have for years and years, so probably know the team and organization a tad better than you. Schneider is all of 20 years old and they are already calling him little Trouba, and even Trouba knows that he will be his replacement in 3 years or so when Trouba's NMC expires. So for the next few seasons, Schneider gets to learn from Trouba before replacing Trouba. The Rangers traded UP in the draft to get him and they are not going to trade him at 20 years old to try to improve their chances at a cup this year by 1%. He has EVERYTHING Drury covets in a player including leadership qualities. THAT is called organizational management, so you can keep dreaming all you want about acquiring Schneider, but it's not happening. Lets see what team he is on after that trade deadline. If I'm wrong and he gets traded, I will admit it right here.....will you?

If I was a Rangers fan, I'd want to keep him too. Comes down to if Drury thinks this team is ready to win now and values a top 6 guy that can play hard minutes in the playoffs, win faceoffs and can score clutch goals. 20 yo defenseman could become expendable in that case.

Some 20 year old defenseman, like Nils Lundqvist, sure. Schneider is part of the long term plan, he is not available. It's not as if JT Miller makes the Rangers a shoe in to be a cup contender. They are the 4th youngest team in the NHL and are not great possession wise and rely on special teams and very good goaltending too much. They are more than 1 top 6 forward away from challenging the likes of Florida, Tampa Bay, Carolina and Colorado, to name a few, in 7 game playoff series. Having JT Miller would help, but they need more than just that. Giving up a 20 year old RD that has everything they want and need makes ZERO sense to try to win a playoff series this season.

Lol. I never said he was going to be traded for sure (please learn to read). I said he's definitely not untouchable. Could be moved any time. Sorry that you're so arrogant that you have to be right. But you can't read minds either 🤷🏻‍♂️
