Before anyone goes nuts, hear me out!

Listen, Mrazek's money and term are crazy and has to be dumped. Toronto has seen that Campbell's their guy and they'll need space to get him signed. Liljegren is never going to be more than a 5-6 depth guy. Robertson always impressed me but now he's been hurt and how's he going to work his way (and have Leafs get full worth out of him) with a lineup that starts with Matthews, Marner, Tavares, Nylander, Bunting? He's a tradeable asset and sweetens the pot for another team to take on the Mrazek mess. The 3rd rounder accomplishes the same.

The return in this case is Travis Sanheim, who is a big, tough defencemen that Leafs can re-up in a year and be a 2-3-4 guy for them for many years. Jones simply fills the role as backup to Campbell for rest of year, then he's gone this Summer.

What's everyone think?

Why would they need to dump Liljegren?

Dermott pr holl has more trade value and more money coming back to leafs if one of them are traded

Also liljegren is doing well for his first real year in the show he will get more points as time goes on

Holl has modified NTC, so he's a little tougher to move and I'd rather have him than both Dermott and Liljegren. I don't want Liljegren to get any points, just want someone that can defend and he just can't. We can call a spade a spade now or waste three years when the entire League realizes he's a pigeon.
