Teams are only allowed to retain on a maximum of 3 player salaries at a time - Arizona currently is retaining on 2 already without you're idea of retaining on 3 more.

Forget about that Vegas trade, it's not happening. Also, Smith/Dadonov are more likely to move.

Arizona can only retain on one additional contract.

Not sure what you think Vegas would see in that offer, but they got Eichel to play with Pacioretty, not to replace him.
