The Rangers are an interesting team this offseason, with lots of RFA's, lots of needs, and not a lot of cap space, let's start navigating these treacherous waters.

Rule: No calling up players with 0 NHL experience

First and foremost, bridge as many RFA's as possible (there's are a few I'll get to)

After bridging most of the RFA's, Vitali Kravtsov and Alexander Georgiev have either reached an impasse or are not a suitable backup long term for Igor. Realistically, I don't know if Calgary would make this trade but a lot of teams are still high on Kravstov so him and Georgiev might be a package to get Daniel Vladdar (Calgary still has Dustin Wolf who could replace him soon though)

Next, the top 6, while moving Laf and Kakko are the obvious solutions (you'd have to play Laf on the right). These guys won't develop if their ice keeps getting shafted

Finally, Accari, Leivo, and the return of Rooney seem to be solid depth options (but are interchangeable)
