How?? Zucker has had 21 goals and 43 points in 84 games with the Pens . And hasn’t played well; due to injury mostly. That’s still .511 PPG. Hoffman has 24 goals and 50 points in 83 games the last 2 seasons; .59PPG.

And Zucker plays a way better 200 foot game than Hoffman. And Zucker has “595” hits in 540 career games. Over 80 “hits” a season. Hoffman doens’t touch anyone on the ice.

Zucker is a UFA after next season and just turned 30 in January. Hoffman has 2 more years left in term after this season and is 32 years old(turns 33 this year).

Again, How do u figure??

Lol. Rust 16 goals and 35 points in 26 games this season. 22 goals and 42 points in 56 games last season and 27 goals and 56 points in 55 games the year before.

Rust is 29 years old and Kessel is 34(turns 35 this year).

How do u figure this trade helps the Pens?? Arizona will be lucky to get a 2nd round pick(just a 2nd round pick) for a Kessel rental.

We practically gave Kessel away, and we did it for a reason. Why the hell would we pay the equivalent of three 1st round picks to get a few months of him back?

zucker is putting up bad points on a really really good team. hoffman is putting up bad points on a really really really bad team. you flip those 2 and zucker won't even score 10 goals through 82 games. hoffman is signed at a really reasonable deal and is signed through his prime.

Well I disagree. Zucker always super feisty. His “hits” show that too. Hoffman is 32 signed through 34 years old. Free agent at 35. Prime is usually considered 26-32. Or 25-30 even. Players usually have a significant drop off in production after 32. So U mean Zucker is signed through his prime. 30 this year. Free agent after next season at 31.

Either way, I don’t agree with that assessment. Canadians bad, yes. Hoffman plays on 1st or 2nd PP unit and usually on a line with Suzuki/Toffoli. Or atleast Suzuki/JoshAnderson. And Yes, with Dvorak hurt and Suzuki moved up to 1st Line Center, the 2nd line looks worse but he’s still under producing.
