Bertuzzi and Fabbri were part of the reason Suter signed with Detroit.

And what would their connection be?

They all played on the same line in junior. Hence the "Guelph line."

It’s not a trade, it’s more or less a different off-season scenario.

This is all a hypothetical scenario anyways, maybe more money and saving money from taxes in Dallas would be tempting, or playing on a team that will make the playoffs during the entire duration of Suter’s contract.

Too complicated, didn’t want to waste my time thinking about that.

I understand.

It's too bad that this organization is blinded by these type of players and gives them too much money with partial or totalled NMC.

I think that Nill could have got some nice assets for Lindell and Faksa in the off season. Now, we cannot trade Lindell and Faksa is so horrible that I doubt we could get a team to bite on him given the contract.

The Guelph line, And Suter would never have signed with Dallas for this very reason so it's pretty moot.

Guess we will never know but the 3 of them are on a line now and averaging over a goal a game.
