Description
PLEASE ADD TO THE SALARIES OF THE SABRES RFA AND UFA IF YOU WISH I WAS LAZY AND MADE UP NUMBERS

While Krebs will not score as many goals as Thompson, he can pass well and should be able to be an adequate play maker for Skinner and Tuch.
While a small sample size their project production from this season would be
Skinner 37 goals Krebs 16 goals, Tuch 34 goals or 77 goals for the season
During the last 22 games of last season
Asplund 4 goals 5 assists 9 points
Mittelstadt 9 goals 8 assists 17 points
Thompson 7 goals 5 assists 12 points
Combined for 20 goals 18 assists 38 pts
75 goals, over an 82 game season.
The third scoring line of Olofsson - Cozens - Quinn is difficult to predict
Olofsson has been injured and has not scored as well as he could but is still projected to have 14 goals and 47 points not bad for a third line LW.
Cozens is projected to achieve 20 goals over an 82 game season
Quinn I would project to have about 20 goals playing with Victor and Dylan.
54 goals from the third line would be excellent production.
The fourth line could be a big surprise
Bjork is on pace for 8 goals, Girgensons 17 goals and Okposo 21 goals for a total of 46 goals.
77+75+54+46 = 252 goals from the top four lines or over 3 goals a game.
A distant second from Tampa's scoring machine of 2018-19

If the defense could add another 26 (currently on pace to add 29) and substitutes (Hinostroza is on pace to add 18) another 13 the 290 goals would have ranked then second behind Tampa in the 2018-19 season.

The team needs to improve GK and Defense.
Jokiharju would need to be the third best RHD IMO if the team needs to compete.
They need two RHD defenders BETTER than he, either through trade, UFA or draft

Lastly, the team needs to stay healthy.
Injuries to Anderson, Tokarski, Luukkonen, Miller, Hinostroza, Girgensons and Olofsson have greatly impacted their season.

AS YOU CAN SEE THE TEAM IS $7,000,000 BELOW THE CAP FLOOR PLENTY OF ROOM TO SIGN A COUPLE OF RFA RHD.

Pysyk plays almost 19 minutes per game and looks good, his metrics are in very solid and most of the games he played with Hagg, which is bad. Pair it with Power in the second pair, I think a Power - Pysyk pair will be better than a Hagg - Pysyk pair. I agree that Jokiharju should play in the third pair, Samuelsson or Bryson with Jokiharju. We need to find at least one good goalie and a top 4 RD who plays well in defense to play in the first pair with Dahlin.

There will be many RHD available this year, just a matter of finding the best one.
Letang, Klingberg, Subban, Schultz, and Braun are all possible.
Letang is unlikely, Klingberg is certainly possible, Subban would not be the best, but he is still good.
Schultz and Braun would be only a little better than Jokiharju.
Getting Kuemper from Colorado or Campbell from Toronto are possibilities.

Because I have been disappointed in the past, I will reserve my enthusiasm of the future.
The Sabres farm system has been ranked #1 before (in 2014 ESPN ranked Reinhart, Grigorenko, Zadorov, Fasching, Compher, Armia, Possler, and McCabe among the top 100 prospects while Ristolainen, Girgensons, Pysyk and Foligno were considered graduates but all under 23 yo.) and nothing came out of that.
Fasching and Possler never contributed while Zadorov, Grigorenko, Compher, Pysyk and Armia were traded within two years.
Let's hope Krebs, Quinn, Peterka, Rosen and Power are the real deal.

No, we need a defensive partner for Dahlin who has 20+ minutes of NHL experience. Klingberg and Schultz are terrible on defense, it will be a disaster. Letang isn't going anywhere and he's not a defensive defender either. Subban seems to be falling off the cliff already and not sure if he can play 20+ minutes in the first pair and again he is not a defensive defender either. Perhaps the only UFA RD that has such skills is Manson, although he does not seem perfect. I like Lyubushkin, but I don’t know if he will be good in such a role, he mostly played in the third pair, I would consider trading.
