Quinn is no doubt going to be in the lineup...Peterka is a possibility and Fitz and Samuelsson should be the 3rd pair on D.

I agree Quinn and Peterka should be, but them on ELC's give you the flexibility to ride out one more year of contracts (Okposo, and then even Bjork/Olofsson [depending on his deal])

I like both Samuelsson and Fitz, I could see Bryson being expendable and Samuelsson taking his spot with Fitz being the scratch and rotating in.

This roster is mainly the prep year for a big 23/24 year, with a potential playoff run if MAF plays like a madman.

Quinn and Peterka being on ELC does not give you the flexibility to not play him...Quinn is 2 good to play anywhere except the NHL. If he doesn't play in the NHL next year your ruining his development. Peterka could probably use another year so he does have some elc slide flexibility.

Quinn does have the talent but you need to A) see how he is post injury, and B) if what you are stuck paying other players doesn't equate to forcing Quinn in the lineup, then you absolutely do 1 more AHL year or even a half year and flex him up with injuries/trades.

But also like I said, if they decide not to tender Olofsson, we aren't even having this talk, he's on the roster. And the "one year AHL won't do him any good" is such a piss poor argument from someone who clearly doesn't look at analytics in terms of growth. Tons for Quinn to develop, especially defensively, and the AHL would 100% help him with that. It would be like everyone who made the argument that Grigorenko was NHL ready, when he clearly wasn't and the AHL had way more potential to develop his game. (Quinn is ions better than Grigorenko, I'm using their situation as a relation and that's all). Quit rushing players who could benefit from big AHL minutes/responsibility. Not everyone needs to be NHL ready after 1 year.
