It doesn't matter. A fa of every team, including non delusional Habs fans, will tell you this trade is complete garbage. Without retention, you'll be lucky to get a 2nd. With 50% retention, you'll get a first and a B level prospect for him from a very desperate team.

Habs fans think they have a ton of value at the deadline and draft for all of their guys. In reality, Bergy screwed this team with the contracts he gave out. Anderson, Hoffman, Armia, Edmunson, Savard........all long term deals that were going to be garbage at some point. Price was paid for previous pay. So was Gallagher. There's a reason why no one other than the Habs would give Hoffman more than a 1 year deal. minus a few guys, the Habs are going to have to pay to get rid of most of these guys. Even Petry has gone sour.

The only value guys they have are Dvorak and Lehkonen at this point (not couldting the youth like Suzuki, Caufield, Romanov, Evans, etc.
