It's a win now trade. They give up a 1st to upgrade this season and then they can ship out Boeser to recoup some of the assets they gave up in the offseason.

Too much for Boeser. He and Kaps even strength production over the last 2 seasons are almost identical. Boeser's real value comes on the PP, but he would be on the 2nd unit in Pittsburgh. Definitely would be an upgrade over Kapanen, but not at that cost.
