  1. 2022 2nd round pick (EDM)
Additional Details:
I mean the dude is only 27 and is posting a 936. save percentage while playing 20 games this year. I wouldn't say the first is out of the question considering guys like varlamov, price and maf are going for a first plus more. Those guys are also older and will have higher cap hits while husso will most likely resign for cheap and has an extra 6 years on those guys If Ken took a chance and paid that I wouldn't have an issue it's worth it considering the age,cap hit and numbers. I chose a second for this trade as that seems more reasonable for a price but don't get me wrong I am not against paying a first for this guy. I understand the blues are very fond of him and for good reason, this guy has been amazing for them this year. Only reason husso isn't getting as much hype as guys like Varlamov and Price (Neither have played in the past year btw and have higher cap hits and will cost more and are much older) is name value as they are household names while he isn't even tho hes younger, cheaper and has great numbers. A second is the target for him but I would be open to paying a first.

(sigh)

1- The Blues, who also aim to contend this season, are using Husso right now. He's not available.
2- Army is NEVER going to solve a major problem for a potential playoff opponent.

Write it down, guys. In ink.

What about a deal in the offseason that gives edmonton a wayyyy higher negotiating chance.

Also armstrong has made deals with division and conference rivals before for the right price so that makes no sense? (Stasny to Winnipeg and elliot to Calgary)

First of all, Husso is a UFA at season's end.

Secondly, the Blues were not trying to win a Cup and did not expect to make the playoffs (even though they damn near did anyway in the end) when they dealt Statsny, and Elliott was an offseason trade. These examples are from totally different circumstances, and thus irrelevant.

This is probably getting hard for you. Im sorry on behalf of all Oilers fan...

ATTENTION OILERS FANS: HUSSO IS THE BLUES STARTER THEY ARE NOT TRADING HIM. IT WOULD BE LIKE ASKING THEM TO TRADE BINNINGTON WHEN THEY STARTED THEIR CUP RUN IN 19...

Apologies on my end for assuming him to be the second option due to binnington but with this new information does that mean binnington could be a possibility via trade?

1- No worries. Honestly, they're kinda 1A and 1B at this point. Whoever is hottest will play more.

2- Probably not, seeing as how Husso could very well be gone this summer. And again, Army isn't going to help another threat in the West unless it's a completely ridiculous overpay.

Maybe but tbh but as a blues fan idk what we should do
Binner also just had a solid night last night but to pry either of out of Stl rn will be very costly and I’m not being bais
The way DA does his deals plus the way both are playing and history wise and every variable it’ll take more that just a first I’d say the equivalent of at least two firsts which is a crazy overpay imo but that’s the price I’d say
