If LA were just a fringe playoff contender I might consider it based on probable position of the 1st rounder. with a somewhat shallow draft (speculated) this year, that 1st isn't quite as meaningful; and we'd be taking a gamble on Faber reaching full potential, whereas we at least know what we got in Konecny.

Interesting offer though.

Konecy scoring prowess is trending the wrong direction for his $5.5M cap hit. The Kings can afford $5.5M but can they not find a free agent at a similar cap hit who is on track for more than 15 goals for the season?

Asking for a first and one of the Kings top prospects is a bit much with his lack of scoring.
