The Bruins value DeBrusk too much to put him and a 1st rounder in the same trade.

Not sure about that. He's been buried on the 3rd line all year until recently. Also one of the streakiest guys in the league

I'd say maybe DeBrusk and the 1st is fine. Both parties want out for DeBrusk. He's too streaky to be considered a top-value asset. Bruins need a d-man like Lindholm, so they'll have to pay or even overpay a little.

True, But dispute DeBrusk wanting out, Boston is still going to try to get something out of him.

Yeah that may hold true on DeBrusk wanting out, but the fact remains he can still be a top 6 forward in the league. I know everyone wants to write him off, but the reality is he can still skate and play hockey. He has also committed to get an extension contract if the qualifying offer terms are worrisome for teams etc. So there is value to be had with JBD. Just because players go into the dog house or fall out of favour with the coaching staff doesn't always mean the player has no value or crap. I mean Laine and torts, Bennett with the Flames....this happens a lot. Hampus is a rental, I am not sure they move 2 assets and a 1st for a rental unless they know they are getting some term out of Hampus. Rumours were that he initially was asking 8x8 from a contract side of things. So who knows.

The 1st I think would be the only value to Anaheim in this trade
