Make it Smith going the other way instead of Koskinen and throw in Clutterbuck with some salary retention and the Oilers say yes.

Not enough for Chychrun.

I would do that deal for Forsberg all day, but he is probably looking for $9.5M.

Isles do not really want Smith but could waive him, Clutter has value if being retained.

I dont see Isles taking back an aging goalie with term left when they can just sign someone in the offseason, but if they Isles are taking Smith instead with his extra year and sending Clutterbuck even with 50% retention it should be a 3rd and not a 4th rounder

Isles could also probably afford to do that if they get Bailey off the books without retention... also I know the time was brief but Forsberg and Trotz did spend a couple years together so maybe that would help
