The Mike Richards contract really confuses me Why is it only a "termination fee" not a regualr buyout. Keller is the closest thing to a "star" Arizona has had since shane Doan they arent moving him

Why do the Pens have any interest in another LHD..?? They are already paying three LHD, long term, and 4M plus(Dumoulin, Pettersson, Matheson). And have their top prospect, PO-J, NHL ready and not able to get PT.

His contract termination occurred because he was caught with drugs at the border. The Kings used that as a loophole to get out of his contract, then it was deemed the Kings would need to have a cap hit for that termination. So, he was never bought out.

This may get both of them. But it’s always tricky to try and get two good players In the same deal. Cause they always cost more, in a way, separately. But this seems like a big enough trade for both
