Why would the Canes consider that? Hajek hasn’t been able to make it at the NHL level at all, and you want to trade him and a meh pick for Cole? Sorry, but Cole has more value to us than that. Plus, we aren’t sacrificing a chance at the cup to help a divisional rival make a run. Start talking Laf and Canes might consider sacrificing a chance at the cup. I know they are worth 2 different things, but the Canes won’t sacrifice their run JUST to help a divisional rival better their chances at the cup for cheap.

I didn’t really look at all those trade, but I can say that the Rangers shouldn’t trade all their prospect like that. (Also picks)

I was only half exaggerating about Laf. He would have so much more success as a Cane, and I can’t wait for when he is due his next contract. Offer sheet time. Lol

hes been amazing last 10 games playing with consistent line mates and more ice time. in his last 11 games, he has 10 points. arguably best skater on the ice for some games

I have noticed that. I’m just saying he would be a perfect fit as the Canes 2LW. And with the Rangers cap situation looking pretty grim, I would not be surprised if he gets offer sheeted.

It would be funny if they both got offer sheeted. IMO not for Rangers fans, but wouldn’t you say that the risk of possibly losing both Kakko and Laffy is greater than 0? Starting next year, the Rangers really don’t have much cap space, so while they might lose Kakko via offer sheet, would they have enough room to keep Laffy long term? I’m not so sure about that part.
