Do habs fans not realize this is literally the worst case scenario?

Also, ristolainen reportly rejected 6x4.75.

Oh no i totally get that. But there seems to be this sentiment among habs fans that its all fixed now. Time to reload in the off-season and make a run at it. This team still needs to commit to 2-3 more years of a hard rebuild.

Definitely.
But, after a season as bad as this, a 10 game hot streak makes us dream a bit grin

Not all fixed - but with the guys playing as well as they are without Ducharme, perhaps the situation wasn't as horrible as it looked.

Is that a good thing? At least if they were that bad chances are there’s a 1st overall pick coming either this year or next.

Now it looks like they could manage to get ahead of arizona, seattle, maybe Ottawa and buffalo. Then management talks themselves into adding, not selling. That’s a recipe for a decade of irrelevance, rather than 2-3 years of a rebuild and a bright future.

true. I was referring to players individually.
Suzuki looked like a middle-6 center, and caufield looked like an AHLer. They both look great now.

I would prefer a 5th overall pick and see Suzuki and Caufield develop into stars, than get the first overall pick and see them fall apart.

Rebuilding isn't always a recipe for success.
Ask Edmonton...Heck ask Torontos playoff record.
As long as Carey Price is part of this team, there is no rebuild, only retool.
