Rakell is bringing back a 1st no matter how you slice it. He's also a perfect fit alongside Malkin. So overpay away.

Manson, Rakell for Kapanen, Joseph, Legare, 1st, 2nd

Manson adds some toughness, Rakell doesn't. Thereis also no retention here where other AGMs with 1sts involved have retention.

Rakell is very over rated on here. He is actually not very far off value of Kapanen. They are about as defensive, about as physical, Rackell has a slight edge in points, but he gets a lot more time and PP time. He is also a UFA as opposed to Kapanen's RFA status. If "you" think that Rakell is worth a 1st, then so is Kapanen. It might hurt some to admit, but Rakell = Kapanen, 4th.

Manson is not worth 1st, 2st, Joseph, Legare. Maybe the 2nd, Joseph and the difference between Legare and the 4th that I mentioned.

Counter with removing the 1st: Rakell, Manson for Kapanen, Joseph, Legare, 2nd ... and Anaheim still comes out on top.
