If that's what it takes for Miller, I'm good. Happy to watch another team pay that.

avs are not trading Byram for Miller, this has been destroyed by every insider, its not happening and even Drance walked back on this basically apologizing for making people assume this was even a possability

Kaut is probably at a make it or break point in his career next year. Which brings me to the question, what is the reason that he's not getting much NHL time and the time he's gotten he hasn't produced?

Based on stats alone (AHL stats are okay but not top prospect worthy), it would suggest he's so far not worth his #16 OA 2018 draft position, but I haven't followed him enough to really know.

Would Kaut's trade value be a first rounder today? If the answer is no, then the Hawks wouldn't consider him in place of a 1st rounder for Murphy.

Twitter mentions are full of them wanting both. Newhook and byram, they really do think they are gong to get a better return than jack Eichel,

Avs have been deep at the rw in recent seasons, and with both jost and compher not being able to secure c jobs and move them to the wing, it’s a log jam for him

Avs have the luxury with us elc, they don’t have to force it but you are right he’s nhl make it or break it next season for the avs, most other teams he’s a regular In their bottom 6

In that case, Hawks would pass on this offer unless they see something in Kaut that makes him a top 6 prospect in their eyes. If he's really a bottom 6, don't think Kaut is then worth what would equal a first round pick and Murphy's value is probably a 1st and 3rd.

He can be more than a bottom 6, but at a minimum you will get that bc of how defensive sound his game is. He will be that protypical middle 6 winger who PKs. He was blocked by Donskoi last season ubt really that is his NHL ceiling IMO.

hes back to what you expect out of him. consistently inconsistence scoring, hes not the defensively black hole he was last year. Hes is a 3rd liner once again once he is plunked back on the wing, he is not a C, so anytime they force him there his game goes down

He's a cross between a forechecking grinder and a power forward in my mind but average at both....is that accurate?

He's pretty physical and strong on the puck too, right?
