Replace Senyshyn with a better prospect or player and it’s probably solid value

What rental has ever gotten 4 first round picks and a 2nd lol I’ll concede some of these “1st” aren’t quite at that value but it’s getting crazy how much you guys think you’ll get in the salary cap era for a guy a team will have for 3 months lol rakell is a UFA and isn’t anything special lol we get it, your teams struggling so you’re praying to get something that moves the needle, but enough with this haul a guy on the team friendly deal for the next 3 years would get.

My man. They don’t have value to Anaheim

Where they were drafted doesn’t mean 1st round value

My guy. They have value, and that value is more then 3 months of lindholm.

Maybe switch Beecher for a better prospect like loheri, Harrison etc but give it up like he’s out to absolute lunch with the offer. Like I said I’ll be happy when you guys get your first and a decent prospect for him, and if rakell gets a first, so does debrusk…

Say Boston gives up 4 first round picks is an absolute stretch.

DeBrusk: still has an active trade demand out there. you're not getting full value for him.
Senyshyn: i mean technically he was drafted in the 1st? but playing 14 NHL games in 5 seasons since turning pro kind of takes the bloom off that flower. he's zero added value to this trade.
Beecher: thought of as a stretch to be picked in the 1st, hasn't really developed since then despite playing for a good program. jury's out but he's not a slam dunk prospect
2022 1st: yep, that's a 1st, can't quibble with that - probably gonna be in the mid-20s though so temper your expectations on that value.

Point is, you're trying to trade for 2 of the bigger trade chips available at this deadline *AND* asking Anaheim to retain on both. You're gonna have to overpay to get them both, and I think that Debrusk/Beecher/1st/2nd is still a little shy of that.

Oh I know it’s a stretch and I 100% know what the deal is with each guy, the point I’m trying to get across is I haven’t seen any deadline defensemen get what some of these Ducks fans are asking.

OP's deal is definitely quantity over quality - Senyshyn and, to a lesser extent, Beecher don't bring a ton of value to the deal. I think if they wanted to do Debrusk/one of Harrison or Lohrei/2 2nds, they'd get it done; if they want all that retention, bump one of those 2s to a 1 and it's a slam dunk.
