Overpay for Soucy
Offering up a first & a promising prospect to dump camp is insane and no GM would do it, not even Holland.
Trading Kassian before the playoffs is equally insane unless you are clearing cap space to pick up a major difference maker, which you have not done and are sitting with $6 mil cap space going into the playoffs with a roster that doesnt get you out of the first rnd.

That Arizona trade is needless imo, and I'd have to think Barrie for Soucy is closer to a 1-for-1. More of a hockey trade as each player fits their new team much better than they fit their current one; SEA is desperate for RHD as they only have Larsson for that atm, and they could use help on the PP. Soucy plays the right side, and is more of a physical, defensive presence for Edmonton

I like the idea of picking up Soucy, but i would do it without including Barrie. Bouchard has basically zero playoff experience and i dont think it is wise to rely solely on him to run the PP. If they manage to get Soucy for say a 2nd rnd and a prospect, keep Barrie, and look at trading him in the off season if they can get/sign a solid shutdown RHD.
