I think you're safe to assume the Wild aren't trading those guys, and you're definitely safe to assume Seattle doesn't make that deal.

I think they would be smart too. Might have to add another high-end draft pick but with their buyout penalties increasing significantly next year and unless they plan on going for it this year might be something to consider. Seattle you would probably have to add prospects and that would be interesting to see who they would want. They are collecting picks right now so who knows what exactly they would want.

You do realize you're sending about 13M in cap to the Wild and taking back 10.7M right? How does that help with the Wild's cap situation?

Seattle just signed McCann to an extension, they're not trading him.

As a Leaf fan myself, I am pleading to any others thinking this way, have some sense and realize already how valuable Nylander is to the lineup and how lucky we are to even have him at the price he's at, to trade away a guy like that would impact the locker room in a very negative way and mess up any chemistry in the top 6, depleting the offence. there's absolutely no way he gets shipped unless its for an equal return. none of Dumba, Greenway, or Hartman can provide what Willy does for us. he already has a lot of character with us. we should also accept the fact Dumba is most likely never gonna be a Leaf either, even after his current contract runs out. Minnesota sees him as a franchise player currently. this was visited once years ago and the ship has sailed far far away, lets let go
