No from Minnesota's perspective. They aren't taking on the contract of Jake . He's actually not better than what we have

I’m assuming you mean Mailloux is the throw in. We’re getting a 1st (You did notice that it was 1st in 2023) in what seems to be an incredibly deep draft from a team that might not make the playoffs in 2023. Mailloux is our best prospect (Not just defensive), but nothing has been done to fix his reputation in Montreal and he seems like he’ll be NHL ready next season. It might be best to let him have a career in the US, so it’s a 1st a 1st.

That’s a very good point but at this point I’d rather just keep Mailloux
