Correct. And I'm standing firm on a first if he does change his mind

Not true.

It's stated fact he was willing to come to Minnesota 2 seasons ago after Dubnyk was traded and Guerin was looking into trading for Fluery back then from Vegas. Only reason it didn't happen was the money didn't work.

It's also been reported he's willing to get moved to Minnesota now.

Here's an excerpt from our Athletic beat-writer Michael Russo's article, where he discusses Fluery. Which was posted yesterday.

" One has to wonder if by Monday night, the beloved “Flower” and last season’s Vezina Trophy winner will be back at the same arena wearing a green Wild home sweater instead, and perhaps even starting against his old Vegas Golden Knights.

According to multiple sources, general manager Bill Guerin has once again investigated the prices of goaltenders around the NHL and has zeroed in on potentially acquiring the Blackhawks future Hall of Fame goaltender in advance of Monday’s 2 p.m. trade deadline. Remember, prior to signing Cam Talbot to a three-year contract in 2020, the Wild attempted to acquire Fleury from the Golden Knights.

While a trade couldn’t be consummated at the time, it’s believed Fleury, a three-time Stanley Cup winner, was willing to waive his no-trade clause to come to Minnesota then and is willing to do so now. The Blackhawks reportedly want a first-round pick for Fleury, but Guerin has been vocal about not wanting to trade his 2022 first-rounder. A second would likely be something he’d part with. "

Interesting! That’s good to know. Yeah a first is too much. Also Chicago will be in no position to demand anything. Fleury has full control over where he goes. Either they move him for something, or lose him as a FA for nothing.
